User guide: Quotes module

New

The user guide has been extended with a complete Quotes section (DE, EN, FR, IT) – covering quote settings, creation, status workflow, finalization, revisions, acceptance, conversion to projects, billing models and invoicing from quote line items
The Projects, Invoices, Settings and Subscriptions sections in the guide have been updated accordingly

Quotes module

New: Create & manage quotes

Professional quotes with line items (service, material or individual), groups, discounts and VAT
Configurable quote settings: prefix, numbering, payment terms, introduction and closing texts
Quote list with status filtering and detail view with action menu

New: Status workflow & finalization

Lifecycle: Draft → Sent → Accepted / Rejected → Expired / Cancelled
Finalization locks the quote and automatically generates the PDF
Revisions: create a new version from an existing quote – original remains preserved

New: Convert quotes into projects

Convert accepted quotes directly into a project – with billing model selection (Hourly or Fixed Price)
Adopt quote line items as tasks in the new project via checkbox
Linked project is displayed on the quote and customer detail pages

New: Quote line items in invoices

For fixed-price projects, quote line items can be adopted directly into invoices
Invoicing status of each line item is managed (open, invoiced, partially invoiced)
Financial fields are locked for adopted line items to preserve agreed terms

Language parameter for public docs routes

Added

The public help routes (/docs/user-guide, /docs/support, /docs/getting-started) now accept a lang query parameter (e.g. /docs/getting-started?lang=en) so the flowbill.ch website can link directly to the correct language version. Supported values: de, en, fr, it. Falls back to the current translate language or German when the parameter is absent or invalid

Public help pages & bug fixes

Added

Help content (user guide, support, getting-started guide) is now accessible without login via /docs/user-guide, /docs/support and /docs/getting-started
New markdown-based getting-started guide covering registration, onboarding and first steps in the app (DE, EN, FR, IT)
Body scrolling enabled on all public help pages via :has() selectors in styles.scss, matching the existing legal-document pattern

Fixed

Kanban reorder not reflected: tasksByStatus grouped tasks by status but did not sort by sortOrder, so applyReordering updated the property without changing the visible order. The board only reflected the new order after a full reload. Now tasksByStatus sorts each group by sortOrder and applyReordering re-sorts the tasks array in place
Feature guard race condition on page refresh: The featureGuard ran synchronously before FeatureGateService had loaded the subscription plan from the organization, defaulting to free and blocking paid features like tasks. The guard now calls ensurePlanLoaded() first and evaluates the feature once the plan is available

Visual Kanban board with four columns: To Do, In Progress, Review, Done
Move and rearrange tasks between columns via drag & drop
Create tasks with title, description, assignee, priority and due date
Edit and delete tasks – with warning for linked time entries
Start the timer directly from the Kanban board

Time tracking & tasks

Time entries can be linked to tasks
When selecting a task, service and description are automatically filled in
Timer can be started directly from a Kanban card – project, task and service are automatically adopted

New dashboard widgets

My open tasks – shows your tasks with status To Do and In Progress
Tasks by status – distributes all tasks across the Kanban columns
Due tasks – shows tasks that are due in the next 7 days

Improvements

Role management refined: Employee and Viewer have read-only access to tasks
Tasks are available from the Starter plan

Customer address is automatically used as fallback when invoice address fields are empty
Primary contact is shown in the invoice PDF in the recipient block
Hint texts in the address fields of the customer form explain their use for QR invoices

Password strength is checked (at least 8 characters, upper/lower case letters, number, special character)

Email templates

Emails for verification, invitation and password reset in the new FlowBill design
