No. FlowBill runs entirely in the browser. No installation is required. Simply sign in at app.flowbill.ch and get started.

Yes. FlowBill is developed and hosted in Switzerland. Data is stored on European servers. FlowBill supports the Swiss QR-Bill standard.

Yes. FlowBill is responsive and works in the browser on smartphone, tablet and desktop. No app installation is necessary.

FlowBill offers three plans: Free (CHF 0/month), Starter (CHF 5/month) and Business (CHF 12/month). There are no hidden costs.

Yes. The Free plan is permanently free and requires no credit card. You can try all basic features for as long as you want.

Yes. An upgrade is possible at any time and is activated immediately. All previously recorded data remains fully preserved.

Yes, you can cancel at any time. There is no minimum term and no cancellation period. After cancellation, you retain access until the end of the billing period.

Billing is monthly by credit card via Stripe. Additional payment methods are being continuously added.

No. The Free plan is completely free and requires no payment details. Payment information is only required when upgrading to Starter or Business.

Yes. FlowBill generates Swiss QR invoices directly from invoicing. The QR code is created automatically and can be printed directly or sent as a PDF.

Yes. You can start timers directly from a task or manually record time entries. The recorded times can be transferred to invoices.

Yes. FlowBill offers a customizable dashboard with various widgets. In the Starter plan, you can freely arrange and configure widgets.

The financial module (in the Business plan, Coming Soon) includes purchases, supplier management, financial reports, fiscal years and accounts. It extends FlowBill with complete financial management.

Yes, in the Starter and Business plan you can set up recurring invoices that are automatically generated at defined intervals.

Yes. From the Starter plan, a Kanban board with drag & drop, priorities and status management is available. Tasks can be linked to projects and time tracking.

Yes, from the Starter plan. You create professional quotes with line items (service, material or individual), groups, discounts, VAT and standard texts. Quotes can be exported as PDF and after acceptance converted into a project. Quote line items can be adopted into invoices.

Yes. From an accepted quote you can directly create a project and select the billing model (Hourly or Fixed Price). Via checkbox you can adopt quote line items as tasks in the new project – for each line item, a task with linked service is created.

Yes, for fixed-price projects (Fixed Price) you can adopt quote line items directly into invoices. For hourly projects (Hourly), invoicing is done from the recorded time entries instead.

For Hourly projects (effort-based), the invoice is created based on recorded time entries. For Fixed Price projects (fixed price), the agreed price from the quote is charged – time tracking serves only for internal tracking and is automatically non-billable.

Yes. If a project is linked to a quote, the project detail shows a summary of quoted and actual effort – for hourly projects quoted vs. recorded hours, for fixed-price projects quoted fixed price vs. actual effort and profitability.

Data is stored via Supabase on European servers. All connections are SSL-encrypted.

Yes. FlowBill processes data in accordance with the requirements of the GDPR and the Swiss Data Protection Act. A DPA (Data Processing Agreement) is available.

Yes. Daily backups are created and retained for 7 days. This ensures that no data is lost in the event of a problem.

Yes. You can export your data at any time. If you no longer want to use FlowBill, you can download all data as an export.
